It happened earlier but it recovered on its ownIt could be that the liquid in the LCD is leaking out from that side.
Try to apply pressure on that area and see if the black spot changes its size. This won't really help but it would give you a greater idea on what the problem is.
Finally you can replace the screen with a new one.
What to do in the situation if it reacts and if it not reacts..It could be that the liquid in the LCD is leaking out from that side.

But there is no trace of cracking@MarkPrime24, first your L-shoulder button, and now this?
You cracked the top LCD glass and spilled some of its liquid ink. The only way to fix this is to replace that part [if and when you can buy it].

The crack might be from the side or front. You won't see it unless you remove that panel away from its housing. Doing this will introduce dust between the LCD and outer glass panel. But there is no trace of cracking
Just buy a new one or used 3ds all you're problems will disappear.

Just a final question, what is the chance of it recovering by itself because it once happened earlier too and it disappeared by it own.The crack might be from the side or front. Another possible culprit as mentioned by @NicEXE is that there's too much pressure on that LCD. Dissemble the 3DS to get to the backside of that screen. Adjust and relief the preload until the black spot goes away. If the spot doesn't disappear, it's definitely a crack somewhere... Possibly internal.

thanks fucking god because mine is just like this...If it's anything like what Irocg experienced from his findings:
The mark can get smaller but never completely disappear. Further dropping or bumping your o3DS will increase breakage within the top LCD.
I recently brought a i5 9600k with rtx 2080 and a Switch with pro controller..so no chance of buying anything expensive till 2021Just buy a new one or used 3ds all you're problems will disappear.
