Minecraft 1.18.1 either mot responds or gets stuck on Mojang Studios screen.

hi! today I gonna play MC 1.18. but it either does not respond or maybe freezes on the mojang screen.
does anyone know how to fix this? it is too annoying.

it gets stuck when 95% is loaded of the game.
I dont use or have any mods.
only this version is bad. not the others.

Minecraft 1.18.1? try 1.18 see if that version is busted as well, or try to delete the 1.18.1 jar and redownload it also use a newer launcher or MCMulti both are fine

even the original 1.18 got stuck. I even used a new copy of my launcher.

it was great. before now, it launched even 1.19!

and the game jarfile, libraries, json and more was too lightweight. because the game jar was not bigger than 45 MB.

Never seen that MC launcher, Looks like the Java one(You need to update that boi(Unless its a pirated version) ). You should try the new one (Last resourt, kinda shitty nowadays) or MCMulti (Recomended as it has Quality of life upgrades compaired to the Official one) Ill also recommend a virus scan to see if it messed anything up. also link to test this launcher out on my end? But also try to update Java to see if thats the issue.

2- MultiMC, its login is too hard.
3- can you tell me ones that fix this but no MultiMC?
4- I dont even know everything about multimc (dont tell me about it)
5- that launcher that I use does not have an "UPDATE" option.

remember: I only like launchers that have their app/games not bigger than 50 MB.

but multimc and atlauncher have 1.18 or newers sizes 478 MB or bigger!!! I dont have such internet size to download version/instances for MC.

Stop using Compatibility mode and use the new launcher from mojang, also are you using an minecraft (Username and password) or mojang (Email(Non-MS and password) account cause MS is shutting those accounts down

Haven't seen that launcher in a while. It's the old one that got replaced in 2016. I doubt it's the issue anyway since the game is at least booting to the Mojang logo. Also, why does the size of the launcher matter to you? Even if the launcher is 50MB or under, it still has to download the game which is likely over 50MB.

Launcher stuff aside, what is the specs of the PC you're trying to run this on? It sounds like it could be the PC itself having issues. Maybe it doesn't support the OpenGL version Minecraft requires? A way to potentially test this is to try run an older version of Minecraft. Something like release 1.0.0. If it boots then you at least know it's something related to newer versions. Then try work your way forward to newer versions to find where it breaks.

Maybe its a Java issue, Java could break and stop it from running as java 17 is needed for 1.18+ versions. Heres OpenJDK By Microsoft, Try to see if this works
