Gaming [Mario Kart 8 Deluxe] How many here have successfully dodged a blue shell with a mushroom?

I've been playing MK8 for a few years now and never did I actually managed to dodge one, till today. I think it was just a matter of luck because whenever I tried before I'd just get hit with the blue shell.

I know that it's about timing and precision but damn, it's really hard to do that flawlessly.

Anyone here is able to skip the blue shells with mushrooms every time or most?

Depends on wether I was focusing on driving or was a far away from others I tried to dodge it before, you can also dodge it with an ultra mini turbo

I have dodge the blue shell with a mushroom,its a little hard when I am focus on the track but when I focus on the blue shell then its easy.

I've done this before in Mario Kart Wii. There was also a time in Mario Kart 8 that I confused the blue shell somehow and it took another lap around the track until it hit me (track was Yoshi Valley).

That's what happens if it passes you, say, if you suddenly break. It'll loop back around and hit you, but if you're on the last lap...

Haven't had that happen but yesterday I activated Boo the item and while it did go get me an item, it didn't make me a ghost. Odd glitch.

Dodging blue shells is really easy with mushrooms as long as you get the timing right. I've probably dodged 10+ but I'm not that active on MK8D.

Dodged a couple a few times. Just get a good sense of the timing once it's circling over your head and you'll be dodging them like a pro in no time.

What happened to me was I had just picked up an item box, and was spamming L to get my item, and it just happened to be perfect timing when the blue shell hit, just as I got a mushroom.

Good video but most of those are like he said, situational. Most can't get star, bullet, golden mushroom, super eight or etc on first place and on online mode this is just impossible because you're going to get thrown whatever.
