I'm sure R4 DS was released first but the M3 DS Simply was hyped and we had heard about it for a few weeks.
There was news about the M3 Simply but the R4 DS was just launched straight into the market just before the M3 DS Simply.

As the FAQ states... R4
Yeah, R4 was released first but the M3 and R4 come from the same manufacturer so there's no real difference other than the names. I'll always go with the M3 brand since it's been around longer.
okay, im not confused anymore, R4 came first not M3. I was planning on getting one or two for someone else. I'll get both just to see whats it like. anyone know a good store, I was gonna use echostore but now they got crappy ratings again, from http://www.resellerratings.com and now im scared to order from them. PM me for suggestions cuz i dont want to start new thread.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.+1 -

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.+1 -

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite+1
