So I think I'll accept two HDDs because I would rather Wup InstallerGx2 have tried everything possible and am a little disappointed that loadiine does not work so well

I know I too felt same but you also need the Optimised Version although it appears more or less the same to be honest.

https://github.com/dimok789/loadiine_gx2/files/3045238/loadiine_gx2.zip

https://github.com/dimok789/loadiine_gx2/issues/177

Scroll Down to Bottom Details on Page.

I use Loadiine for N64/NDS Injects with Cart Art Carousel and Custom BootTVTex Banners.

You just need to give it time to load Artwork or else Crashes Occur and still can even then.

Since you are right I will use Loadiine for n64 and Nds but for wii u games I will use wup installer. Thanks for the customized loadiine version for the Forwader.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

This version is probably not faster, but that's enough for the injections

games\N64 Super Mario 64 [SM64]
games\NDS Super Mario 64 DS [64DS]

[TitleID] Four Digit Product Code found in meta.xml at top.

3dcovers in Loadiine app folder SM64.png
64DS.png as I have it here and you will have a cover.

Grab a cover from gamedb 176x256 or something and edit to your liking then overwrite keeping dimensions size.

I have Custom Cart Art aswell as Custom BootTVTex.tga GIMP or Photoshop works save them as tga uncompressed 24bit and if edit iconTex.tga 32bit Save Overwrite.

Thanks, I'll give this a try. -EDIT 2 - Works like a charm.

I'm also having issues with Loadiine/the Wii U crashing when I attempt to exit the game or attempt to turn the console off with the tablet in-game, and I have to perform a hard reset. Any suggestions?

-EDIT- Pressing the HOME button on the Loadiine menu (with all the games in the bg) seems to shut the console off, any way to just go back to Home Brew or is it always a reset?

I find that giving Loadiine a moment or so before selecting things helps prevent some crashes but it will more than likely crash at some point it can be hit and miss.

You also cant exit Loadiine only way is to load whatever Title then Home and Exit.

Keep in mind Loadiine is still somewhat running in RAM so you need to Shut Down otherwise you cant run RetroArch or HOMEBREWLAUNCHER You will Crash or Blue Screen Flicker and the same applies to these 3 they dont play well you myst Shutdown before launching the other.

Going into game, hitting "Home" and exit leaves me stuck at the white screen that has the Wii U icon and reads "Wii U Menu" underneath it, forcing me to hard reset the console. I'm running CBHC, running Loadiine GX2 from HBL and running GBA games.

I dared to work on the source of Loadiine Gx2 again. And the version I use is the y1.0.1u1. Mocha fat32 is too slow and compared it to the SD and the SD is much faster for me. I took 3d World as a test and I worked on the source and found it loads faster.
With this version it does not crash when saving, I also find the version more beautiful.

I have a Japanese wiiu and Japanese Is not my language.
I managed to get Loadiine to work perfectly, but few EUR Version games have the language in Japanese.
Is there a fix for it?
Using M Online Exploit

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
