Honest question: would not have been easier to just add those features to "DZ"

If blawar wanted to do this the "right way" he would have just added a "simple mode" toggle to DZ that would toggle back and forth between a lithium like UI and the full-featured DZ.

Considering his past behavior I think it's pretty obvious that he's not interested in doing what's right. He seems only interested in shiting on other people for attention.

He's clearly incapable of pushing something to the public without stroking his ego in some narcissistic tendency.

I also think it's pretty obvious that this release was purely for spite. He didn't like the attention that goldleaf was getting so he needed to release a piece of software that he felt would erase the need for people using gold leaf. So just like he originally released his poorly named tinfoil, this is obviously another release just to spite xortroll.

I wish you would not do this thing you do, where you take direct shots at people that make different software than you. There is nothing unsafe about Goldleaf. It installs what you tell it to install, it works well, it starts up very quickly, it's generally nice.

This new app is way better than your version of Tinfoil, since this app is willing to list and install NSPs regardless of what they are named. Still prefer Goldleaf.

This is way better than your version of Tinfoil, since this app is willing to list and install NSPs regardless of what they are named. Still prefer Goldleaf.

Have you seen Goldleaf's readme? Its pretty much a copy+paste from that. @XorTroll should not have put his comments in his readme, if he wasnt willing to take flak for them.

Xortroll is obviously referring to original Tinfoil. Your app (which uses the name Tinfoil without any hint of authorization from the original developer) is designed differently (is far more complex, serves different goals) than the original Tinfoil was. Goldleaf continues the spirit of the original Tinfoil. It's a simple, fast, easy to use installer that installs whatever you want.

You want to defend devs, fine, do that in your own thread. When you shitpost in release threads, it derails the entire thread and prevents people from getting help

I provide free software to the community. You are free to criticize me for whatever you want, but at the end of the day i've done infinitely more for the community that you will ever do. a crappy link website = nothing.

Iriez has a scene history dating back to before you were born. He's done things in private that are of value and deserves respect.

You provide software that does not cost money to use, from time to time. You in no way provide free software, and you even provide some commercial software - SX Installer, etc. Your installer does have value, but your refusal to stop trolling for five seconds and allow DZ and Goldleaf to exist in peace reduces the value of anything you provide.
