The way I see it, it's a moot point. My R4 plays them anyway.

No words can express my disappointment for finding out that Worms: OW2 won't play on the CycloDS Evo card.

Update: On a lark I figured I'd try to "arm7" fix with my Evolution card, but I can confirm that it's a no-go, as most would perhaps assume. Also, Simple DS Series Vol. 21: The Fuhyou: Bitai de Shutsugeki! Senjou (the new game similar to BiA DS) does not work on the Evo either.

I found an ARM7 FIX file that has a bat file to make life easier for people that want to patch their games with the ARM7 FIX, but are too noobish to do it manually. It requires that you put a working ROM (suggested ROMs to use are in the readme) in one folder (called "doner") and the one that needs fixed in another (called "patient"), double-click the .bat file, follow the instructions and it creates the fixed file as "fixed.nds" which you just rename and start playing.

I confirmed that it works for Worms 2 and Simple DS Series 21 on the R4 using this and the SimCity (J) ROM as the doner.

Here's the credits in the readme:

arm7 injection (M3 patch) - By Bad_Ad84
Original credit to CougRAWR and Go185 from Gbatemp for the method.
Special thanks to Rashef for bringing this to my attention and DarkFader for NDSTool

The file is only 48k zipped

Currently uploading it to the "ROM patchers & header Info" section.

For the time being, you can get it here:
arm7_fix.zip (48k)

Nintendo up to their old shit again? Actually i though that new Japanese rpg that came out had that problem, because before it booted it had some message that i couldn't read. I reset the system and tried it again, and to my surprise it worked making me think it was something to do with safe mode or the cart not inserted properly.

GBAtemp should be legally obligated to ban them, as its against the law to collect information from users under 13 because of COPPA. :tpi:

VR had the chance to integrate with existing games and tech but VR companies said "NO, I WANT MY SHIT TO BE STANDALONE AND MY GAMES EXCLUSIVE TO FACEBOOK"

Back when Oculus Rift was still starting out and being demoed around, they modded existing games to use it as a 360° immersive screen thing and that was AMAZING.

The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc
  • Veho @ Veho:
But now it's "can I use my VR set with my racing games, that would be neat?" "ONLY IF YOU USE OUR DILDOSTICK CONTROLLERS AND RUN THE GAME ON OUR ANDROID-UNDERPOWERED BRICK"

The tech to have quality VR goggles at an affordable price is here, but every set has to have 4 additional controllers and be standalone.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
These are the same type of gamers that spend $2,000 on a GPU when a $600 GPU gives nearly the same outcome which is what the market looks at for them to do spend more on unneeded bs
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If we're talking AAA titles a vr headset would be priced at nearly the same cost as a midrange gaming pc maybe even double
