Last Story - No western Release?

Don't surprise me. NoA doesn't have fucking idea of what are the best games for they own consoles.

Bingo, you're right! The fact is that Nintendo Wii in the US is about 'shovel' and 'ware'. So mostly we get the so-called 'try-outs' from other developers that either make something unique or something cliche. Besides, it's a Square Enix game for one. Notice how nothing but Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Dragon Quest get localized?

Simple, Nintendo Wii selling point is what they can give to us and the casual audiences will buy it. I don't think Japan consider a game unless its a RPG or something in their culture boundaries. In the USA, majority of the audience that bought the Wii was because of interactivity. Not for the awesome gameplay...

You do know Nintendo has nothing to do with those games right? Ubisoft on the other hand, does. But they don't have anything to do with The Last Story!

Also as Goli said: This is NOT a Square Enix game. It's a Mistwalker game. The studio behind Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, and the man behind Mistwalker is the man who created Final Fantasy, hence the ridiculously funny name.

I don't think that was his point.

He was just making the observation that the Western Nintendo market gets a ton of crap, while the Japanese tend to get a lot more worth-while games.

They never said it wasn't gonna be released here. Be patient people, the game isn't even out in japan yet and you expect them to announce a localization already. They will do so whenever they're ready.

Beside, they never announce North American release before they release the japanese version, unless it's Mario, Zelda or Pokemon. Nintendo are 100% sure those will sell so they can announce it immediatly.

Also if nintendo -did- start saying "No... we don't want this game." A) The developers will be pissed.. and it will be the n64 and Gamecube again. And B) the gamers will be going "Oh nintendo is being so controlling like back in the NES days and Super NES days."
