Update the RetroArch cores, the copy and paste them into the Lakka folder
Im a little confused so when you say update the cores you mean on my PC retroarch then copy them over to my switch lakka folder or update the cores within the switch then close down back out connect to my pc and copy? and where in the lakka folder chould i copy them? Im soooo sorry if I sound like a noob but this manually updating is so annoying but I want to try and get the best out of using lakk on the switch.

You obviously can't use the PC cores, I was talking about the cores for Switch. Switch cores works on Lakka for Switch, not the PC ones.
The route to the Lakka cores is always SD:\lakka\storage\cores
