Soooooo...on a scale of 1/10, how disappointed are you that HL3 will never release ?
is the game as good as everyone says it is ?
Half Life 2 won Game of the Decade a few years ago and for good reason. It is a masterpiece in gaming and set the standards for not just shooters, but all games that came after it. The fact that HL3 will never come into fruition not only frustrates me, but saddens me that a company who creates noting but perfect games, will not appease the fan base that got them to where they are today. We can only hope that it will come out someday...

Half life 1 is one of the rarest game I played on PC, and one of the rarest FPS game I completed.
I liked it, but never had the occasion to play Half Life 2.

Maybe one day I'll get the occasion to play HL2.
There's an orange box on PS3, right?

Speaking of HL1, has anybody here played it on the dreamcast?
The iso is available online, but I don't have a dreamcast, so I've never burnt a copy.

There are videos of people playing it online. It's nearly identical to the ps2 version.

Why was the Dreamcast version canned anyway? It's seems finished.

It was finished. It was canned because Sega discontinued the Dreamcast the year the game was going to be released. The PS2 edition was released in October 2001. The Dreamcast was discontinued in March 2001. Thankfully, Sierra was smart and ported many of the features/side story from the Dreamcast version to the now PC expansion Blue Shift.

Was Half-Life: Decay ever ported to anything. It exists on the PS2 but it seems to not exist anywhere else.

Copy/Pasta from Wikipedia:
In October 2005, work was begun by a group of Ukrainian developers to port Decay over to Windows, as a modification for both the old World Opponent Network and current Steam versions of Half-Life. The port relied on the discovery of a method that allowed Decay's PS2 game files to be deciphered, thereby allowing the files to be ported to Windows.[7] The port went into the beta development stage in December 2007 and was released publicly on September 23, 2008.[20] The port was received well by the journalists in the industry; GameSpy site Planet Half-Life noted that it was a shame that an official PC version of Decay never emerged,[21] while British journalist Alec Meer stated that it was "fantastic to have this short but sweet lost Half-Life episode on PC at last, and it even has something the PS2 version didn't—online play"
