Why would i care about online? For the amazing FPS experience? For the team raids? To build with friends? Online on the 3ds doesn't mean shit, big whoop you can trade pokemon. Or visit some dumb ass animal crossing town..
It sounds like you should ask your mommy to get something a little more age appropriate. Maybe an iPhone 4S.

welp
i guess you like the offline games on the 3ds more, no problem
I still think the 3DS has some very good games with online features, there are not that many but the one's with online are very good... (I previously named some with great online) I mean, playing monster hunter alone isn't as fun as playing with your friends...

Clearly you never played Mario Kart or Super Mario Maker.
I tried to play Mario Kart online a few times... I only managed not to get a connection error once.... and I got a connection error mid-race...

Aww did i hurt your feelings talking shit about the precious 3ds
Considering you're the one who asked if Nintendo can ban your 3DS if you never use it online in the first place, and then proceeded to try to justify it by whining about why online gaming on 3DS sucks, I think you have a case of sour grapes.

Hence why I said you should get an iPhone 4S. That way, Nintendo can't ban you, and you can play high-quality apps like Candy Crush Saga.

well then how about Fire Emblem: Fates? if you're into FE you'll love the multiplayer function, because it's more competitive
The only thing competitive about Fates' multiplayer is who can hack the units without being shadowbanned.

Fates just ruined the series entirely with it's ridiculous waifu pandering tripe. The localization didn't help either.

All multiplayer games have problems, i get disconnected from Splatoon 2 lots of times, but i keep playing. :P
I think "problem" is an understatement. I was literally never able to play it online except for the one time I got kicked mid-race.

Well, its something on your end then. I play Mario Kart on the 3DS lots of times without any problems. Me and thousands of other players...

I believe online gaming on consoles is like a mmm... "Insert example here" it sometimes will be good, It sometimes won't work for some depending on a bunch of factors and sometimes it will be just bad for eveyone...

I personally like Fates because of the story and the overall animations and characters but that might just be me..
And I don't think Echoes or Awakening have online multiplayer so I still like Fates for having that option

kind of funny how this thread went totally off-topic :D just something that happens often in forums

If people don't want their consoles banned, just don't install CFW on them, easy.

The risk will always be there as we don't know how exactly Nintendo tells a system should be banned.

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I bet @AncientBoi has some hamsters hidden somewhere tho....

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

    Some temporary storage

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
