It's a terrible name that got widespread because some Brazilian people shared copyrighted files from NUS + ticket from "WUD" for a few games they managed to install themselves. The Brazilian tester that shared this here probably didn't really know how to "patch" the tickets from the (at the time) incorrectly (and not known incorrectly) decrypted WUD's and sounded like he didn't know NUS content was involved (he just did warez). Shortly after that sharing some people managed to find the correct way to "patch" (well the correct word would be "fix") these tickets. Coincidentally, this happened right before we got access to our own tickets thanks to the great work of everyone that worked on the IOSU exploit.
It's not an exploit and therefore not a new exploit.
Some reasons for why it's a terrible name: Peruvian way, Swedish approach, Chinese style, Russian process, these names all sound weird and mysterious. Also a "country" did not discover that, a few people who happened to be from this country showcased a few examples where their shenanigans, whatever they were (but resulted in a fixed ticket), worked. The anonymous person who edited those first few tickets probably had some idea of what they were doing but didn't explain to the tester(s) (or testers didn't understand). Most names are related to what the undergoing process is (browserhax, menuhax, ninjahax, stickerhax, redNAND, arm9loaderhax, OSSDriverspoilt, GX2sploit, iosuhax, haxchi, coldboothax, WUP Installer, NNU Patcher...) or make some reference to what they're working on (Cafiine, Mocha... (for coffee references within the Wii U + the Wii U itself being codenamed Project Café)) or a bit of both (SDCafiine) or a pun (FBI, which installs CIA files, CIA standing for CTR Importable Archives)). The console hacking world has nothing to do with a national pride contest. Brazil can be considered an awesome country for other reasons, but not because a few of their people happened to do something related to Wii U piracy. That's like saying Germany is an awesome country because guys like dimok, Maschell, FIX94 did great some great work, France is somewhat good because Coc4tm made OurLoader (which can probably be considered irrelevant now with the region-free patches), UK is up there with MrBean, Chadderz (Cafiine) and others and I won't make all the countries of all the people that did something (because I probably can't list all people that did something that many can consider cool for the Wii U scene, or I don't know the nationality for each of them), but my point is we're not evaluating nations, plus the greatest collaborations this scene have witnessed are international, since basically nobody cares what the nationality of others are.
dude ,the trick was discovered by some Brazilian people so the name got stuck , chill Lmao.
weird how ungrateful people could be , if their way wasn't leaked / then released ,i'm pretty sure no one would have discovered it by now , and the Wiiu scene would of stayed toxic.

If you think Brazil is an awesome country, you've obviously never been to Brazil.

We are not here to bash anyone's country ,have some respect and please take your rudeness elsewhere.

than relaying on a DNS server to play online and having to disable it every time you need to update.
Just use NNU Patcher and you can update any title and download anything from the eshop as long as you don't have in your download manager the failed console update error which blocks the download queue. It'd be pretty stupid to remove DNS protections just to update titles. (even though I believe the Wii U to be very unlikely to get another system update)

Still sounds like a dirty sex move to me...
You may also have a dirty mind lmao.
I guess your dirty mind could think of some stuff with the name currently used in kafluke's WIP guide (Disc Tick Trick)

lol they didn't even release their method, only files, other people figured out what "their" "method" was since it was pretty easy to identify the files. There was some noise before the correct formula to fix tickets was found but that's it. Also, did those Brazilian people editing a few tickets even guessed that correct tick-fixing formula? No one can say. But that correct formula doesn't even matter any more since we have access to tickets as they are supposed to be.
I'm not sure if the WiiU scene is less toxic, but it's still filled with ignorant people not trying to understand shit. You believe you know but you don't and judge people based on your belief.
I can't say for sure what would have happened but since we got access to tickets (thanks to work on iosuhax), the update to Crediar's tool to decrypt WUD's would have come anyway, plus the small differences in tickets would "probably" have hinted some people to try using the tickets from discs with data from NUS at least on rednand. So the method came out from a week or to a month early, maybe?
Also, you'd notice that in all examples I gave for names, NONE are related to their authors/finders, may it be their nickname or their nationality. There's no reason to over-credit Brazil as a country for that. It's not about being grateful or ungrateful, it's about being reasonable, it's just weird to credit Brazil as a whole because of some Brazilian people. The "debate" isn't even on whether or not those folks deserve some love lol

It's not necessarily rude (but I'm not saying it isn't, I won't pretend to know what he means exactly). For example, take into account that wages there are low and they have huge taxes on everything coming from outside of Brazil, making products VERY expensive for most Brazilians, leading to some companies like Nintendo I believe leaving the Brazilian market, so products which were hard to get are even harder to get. That is not awesome (and also leads to piracy being way more acceptable there than in countries like the USA). Yet, that's just ONE example of a negative thing, one shouldn't make a final judgment on that alone (though it does point out social and economic issues). To some people, stuff like food or some particular places or landscapes is the only criterion to say a country is awesome or not. Some people don't make judgments on the whole country, they like some things to various degrees, dislike other things to various degrees and don't know about or don't have an opinion on other things.

To the left you'll find the prehistoric man. Still living in his dimly-lit cave, running games off of Loadiine. We try to help him but he just won't listen. He prefers his slow and restrictive methods. Look at him go into the browser, go to the Loadiine site and load up the program. Look at those load times. Why is he even loading up Splatoon its not like he can go online, that idiot.

And over here to the right we have the modern, family man. He is quite the rich and handsome man, isn't he? Watch as he loads a game directly off the home menu. What's that!? Is he directly downloading an update? And is he-!? No way!!! He's playing online and using DLC! He didn't have to load any sort of program for that? Wait whats he doing now, is he loading a CFW? He is! HE'S PLAYING VIRTUAL CONSOLE GAMES!!! This man truly represents the good in life.

you didn't read the post at all did you? psuedo does not mean real and the advertised 1080p tv was not a scam because it could handle the signal but was underhanded in the fact it only took that signal and gave an inferior resolution instead. Also I wasn't talking about 1080p panels. I was talking about 768p panels that are used in 720p tvs.
My 1080p monitor can handle a 1440p signal those that mean it's 1440p now? No no its not it is still 1080p,you cannot advertise something which is not true and still be abiding by consumer laws, if it says 1080p TV on the tin it has to be a 1080p panel no ifs ands or buts

I don't know what that is and I don't want to know. I'll stick to floppy disks. At least that way I know I won't get screwed.

Remember this lesson kids, never let the flock know you still enjoy and can be more productive in an older OS/APPs, they might get a bit triggered.

Nah. It's not that. The issue is that the OP was asking for active development for something that's a dead end (Loadiine). You're being melodramatic with the word triggering. That being said, the "triggering" really started when some posters suggested that Loadiine was easier and better than installing to USB. I don't give a fuck what people use. That's their business. However, when people start talking nonsense I can't help but chime in. No offense to the devs of Loadiine. It was great before the Brazilian method came out. Oil lamps were great before electricity. The milkman was great before refrigerators. The Sears catalog was great before Pornhub.

when people think it's 1080p VS 720P tv's...
it's called HD and FullHD.

HD tv's are "720p", 1360(1366)x768, they take anything up to 720p/1080i, and sometimes (most moderns ones, always) 1080p inputs and scales them to display.
FullHD are 1920x1080 panels, displaying 1080p content natively, what resolutions they can scale on input (up or down) heavily depends on the manufacturers choice of scaling hardware.

It's a little annoying to have to download my whole Wii U collection after having everything decompiled for Loadiine use. Aside from that there are benefits the alternative methods offer that would make you question why stick to something outdated in comparison. The only thing I can think of is that no other method allows for SD Card loading but that's not saying much.

Stop hating Loadiine...
I could've sworn most of the people (especially those haters) were like "WHHEN WILLLLL LOAAAADIINE FOOOR 5.5 COME??????"...

What an ungrateful bunch of people.

Oh BTW, saying "exploit" is wrong, saying "not as safe" is also wrong.

I'm not hating on Loadiine nor have I seen any post in this thread that I would consider "hating." If Loadiine works for you and you're happy with it keep using it. However, understand that development on it should not continue. There's no where to take it. Aside from additional window dressing it does what it does. The Brazilian method is what any new user should use. It's easier and the games work exactly like games installed through official means.

Not sure what you mean by "saying 'exploit' is wrong." Loadiine is an exploit as is the Brazilian method. Also, I don't understand the context of "not as safe" either. If you mean that either method of playing backups is equally safe then I agree.

The issue is that people circlejerk the newest thing and ignore the relevancy of anything else. They couldn't pirate everything in the world with loadiine so they began to shit on it once they could pirate everything.
