Like is this actually a legit thing? not sure about the company and such so am asking in hopes those more informed can tell me if this is a real thing. Like if they have a passed record or something.

It's more then likely real. That's the same company that made cyber gadget for the 3ds, along with datels power saves, before we had homebrew save editing sources

Does the PS4 not have checksums on saves? If so, I wonder how they got managed to get the checksums, since on 360, we would need to reverse the xex to find the method.

This is kind of "soft" console hacking. I wouldn't say it something major, then again nice work by them. They obviously have money to put on this R&D.
