PS3 has more powerful CPU, WiiU Has Better GPU and more RAM.
CPU+GPU power combined is about the same, but WiiU is stronger system thanks to more RAM.

I believe Wii U also has better shading and lightning properties. Just take a look at sm 3d world! The use of lightning is phenomenal
