Hey. I've had a bit of an interest in digging out the ol' Wii and CRT and hooking it up with RetroArch for some emulation fun on an old fashioned telly.

Before I pull everything out of storage and blow the dust off, I just thought I'd quickly ask if RA on the Wii is compatible with USB controllers? It'd be lovely to be able to use my Hori Fighting Commander. :)

There's a thread on the libretro forums about it, but it's so confusing I don't think it's worth the hassle.
My wish would be if they implement HID controllers as easily as in Nintendont.
I haven't had time to find an official Classic Controller so I just use a USB one.

Oh yeah, I think I remember that thread. It just went on and on with no real resolution, if I recall.

I'm really not sure why they have no support for your standard HID compliance. Still, good news is that I did dig out my Wii and telly but I also found my long lost Hori GBA controller. That works like a charm so all's good, I suppose (at least for those of us lucky enough to have a Hori controller).
