I just now stumbled onto a gba backup tool that I should've used a long while back. It's compatible with the supercard dstwo, but it mostly just backups up the gba and save files while also restoring the saves. What I'm wondering if there would be a way to modify the game's code on a pc, and patch it to a retail cart using a ds flash card.

No. GBA games are ROM (Read Only Memory). If you want to run modified GBA games on GBA hardware you'd need a flash cart of some kind.

Ah, I figured that would be the case lol. Thanks for helping me out man.

If I had access to an open source hex editor and ported it to a ds, would it be possible to use that to modify slot 2 data instead?
