I noticed it seems to skip the current level if I press R and then A, is that just in case you get stuck or something?

I think it's the best arkanoid clone on gba; very nice and fun, but unfortunately with few stages.
And the music is truly memorable, in its simplicity; as soon as it "takes off", you will never forget it again. It will haunt you ...like a (pleasant) obsession ...
