Gaming I"m stuck on MEtal Slug 7

I must be retarded, but on mission three, I can't get past a part. It ells me to go down, but theres this platform with a box pointing up. Then there's a huge explosive ball rolling down the ramp trying to kill me. I;m stuck because I can't go down the level.

Walk over to the box and stand at the little switch and hold y. Hold Y until the guy starts cranking the machine. Don't feel bad, because I was stuck here too.

Well, it's counter intuitive at best, but i didn't get stuck, already played other metal slugs before...

lucky me that I have so much experience from metal slug 2...
you mean the box thing that's similar to the one box in the tunnel in metal slug 2 that if you keep pulling the lever thing, there was a laser, tank, explosion, and all the other stuff, right?
