There are far superior methods to DDD nowadays. On your PC, all you really need is an FTP client (just download a pre-made one, I suggest FileZilla) and a network connection. There is a program that runs on the Wii U called FTPiiU Everywhere that allows you to access your entire console's filesystem over FTP.
The process for retrieving a dump of your game is a little different depending whether or not the target game is on NAND, a USB drive or the inserted disc, but it is definitely possible to retrieve the code, content and meta folders, and these will be more complete than anything DDD will give you.
