I used to do this all the time, but it's been nearly a year since I last prepped a Wii drive and I forget the correct way of going about it. My preferred method has always been a Fat32/WBFS combo, but how to go about this?
I made and attempt on a mini-usb drive and broke it somehow as it will no longer format. What is the correct approach?

Thanks in advance!

You no longer need to do this. Simply format your drive to NTFS, make sure you're using the newest d2x, and never worry about this crap ever again.

*EDIT* Unless you want to play gamecube isos. You need a fat32 partition on your HD, or use a larger SD card (I use a 32gb).
