The more I try to find an answer to the question in the subject, the more I think I'm the only one who ever needed to do this (i.e. I can't find anything).

Would someone have a solution to this?

Thank you :)

you can do an account activation, then export saves. import them to the new system that's using the same account. this even works with the ps5, but being as nervous as I was, I never did it to my systems. I want to take no chances with the new system.

Think you can use the activated profile method, if the unhacked unit has the same profile ID as the hacked one, the other method would be like save wizard but that cost you money.

Thank you both for the replies.

I recognise the terminology you’re using from a few guides and videos (especially from Modded Warfare) I saw while researching the subject. But I always saw these guides referring to the transfer of savefiles either from JB PS4 to JB PS4, or from regular PS4 to JB PS4.
Does this mean the same procedure would work from JB PS4 to regular PS4?

yes, I think the saves should work on a separate system. that's the good thing about sony is that you don't have these sorts of problems.

Some saves may have copy protection and won't allow you to copy them but they are rare. In this case ftp may work but you would have to resign them to work on the second console. Haven't had a ps4 in about 4 years myself so not sure if this would even be an option. I know it can be done for the ps3 on copy protected saves but is annoying to go through. I've only encountered it with a handful of games.

I'll take a break for now. it would be good if all companies actually utilized what was available to them. lol

If I've understood correctly, I should follow the last part of this video, where the "content" of a savefile is transferred "inside" another savefile. Should this avoid the need for an offline activation of my JB PS4 and also the need to re-sign the savefile? If not, I'm not sure this is feasible for a JB PS4->regular PS4 operation (since I cannot install 'Apollo Save Tool' on the latter)...

There should be tool to allow you to activate the system completely offline, but you need the same ID as the regular one, I did it before on 5.05 before I retired from the PS4 scene, after you have the activated profile you can just copy the save and move it.

I think I'm starting to understand what I'm supposed to do (and if I'm successful, I'll list here the steps that led me to victory).
There is one thing that still worries me though, but I thought better to create a separate post (here).
