Do you have the commands for the meta files handy?

EDIT: something like this? I'll wait for confirmation because I have no idea :P

Code:
w.up("meta.xml", "/vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10179C00/meta/meta.xml")
w.up("bootDrcTex.tga", "/vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10179C00/meta/bootDrcTex.tga")
w.up("bootSound.btsnd", "/vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10179C00/meta/bootSound.btsnd")
w.up("bootTvTex.tga", "/vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10179C00/meta/bootTvTex.tga")
w.up("iconTex.tga", "/vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10179C00/meta/iconTex.tga")

(10179C00 = PAL Brain Training)

I'm confused on the first step still.
I run SysNAND / RedNAND currently, but all the guides say to disable RedNAND for this.

Booting RedNAND is what starts the WUP Server. How are you guys running the WUP Server on SysNAND?
Or, how are you booting RedNAND to start the server and then getting back to SysNAND without rebooting?

Adding the paths/IDs for the games with the vulnerability per region would be nice.
I believe you used the one for PAL Brain Age, USA users might jump the gun and put that one too (not that I have done so).

Lastly, do you need to leave FTPiiU running on the Wii U while running the WUP Server or is that just to get the IP?

The title id's are broken out on the page referenced: https://github.com/FIX94/haxchi

FTPiiU was used just to get the IP the Wii U is using.

I'm having trouble getting the ROM uploaded. I installed Brain Age US which is title id 10179B00. However my output is:

Code:
>>> w.up("rom.zip", "/vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10179B00/content/0010/rom.zip")
up error : could not open /vol/storage_mlc01/usr/title/00050000/10179B00/content/0010/rom.zip

If I list the directory of 00050000/ it doesn't show that title being there.

Code:
>>> w.cd("usr/title/00050000")
0
>>> w.ls()
     10159900/
>>>

Lol... I had the same problem as hotdog. I purchased brainage and wwtouched just for this (I know... I probably could have pirated them, but anyway, I'm using brainage for HBL, and wwtouched for IOSU). HBL with brainage worked perfectly on the first try. IOSU with wwtouched did NOT work for me using the release file from the GitHub releases. I cloned the repo and built everything myself, since there were 2 commits after the latest release, and the new build works perfectly for wwtouched_cfw. Just in case anyone else has the problem with using that game for cfwbooter.

I can provide it if anyone needs it.

Probably off subject, but can't HBL simply be installed to the home menu after launching iosu? Link please :bow:

    I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    but its a custom os for both of them

    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

    I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip

    Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source

    I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm

    At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
