How to connect wireless controller to pc through plug & play charge kit

You can only charge the controller via usb on a windows pc with a play and charge kit. It will not work as a controller in windows without a usb rf receiver. If you have an old 360 console that no longer works you can remove the RF module and solder a usb cable to the contacts and have it work in windows as a receiver. This video will give you an idea how to do so.

I wouldn't do this. While it does work it is only temporary until something on the RF Module will pop and you will see and smell some magic smoke


I used to do this during high school and burnt through like 6 RF Boards. Its super wasteful
