Hardware How hot does wiii get before fan kicks in?

Hi i just got a wii yesterday and noticed that its very warm almost hot but the fan at the back isn`t on!
Should this be on all the time or does it kick in when it gets realy hot?

I don't think the fan turns on when it is in stand-by mode.

thanks the fan was working, being an idot i thought the top part was the fan and i wasn`t spinning and i couldn`t feel much air coming out but its fine it is spinning.
