Gaming How do you update a flashed/jtagged 360

I want to buy a pre-modded Xbox 360 and I wanted to know how would I update the mod if needed. Say there is a new firmware for the dvd drive or a new jtag firmware (Not sure if thats what it uses)

Do you update through dvd/usb drive or would you have to reflash/remod? Any sites that go into details on jtag for newbs of 360 modding?

jtag can be updated via a usb thumb drive with the correctly updated hacked firmware... eg: bestpig/ibuild... via flash360 or Xellous

DVD can only be updated via sata and must be connected to your PC to do so (unless you somehow have a Lizard).
