Hacking How do AP patcheswork

My acekard should arrive in the mail tomorrow and I am wondering how do AP fixes work on it? For example, the dstt uses extinfo and infolib. How does ap patching work on the acekard?

It's all internal...well, it's all in the loaders at least so it's pretty much internal.
