It's probably possible. You'd jus have to poke around in memory to find the value that defines world size.Judging that patches for games are possible, like with translations, would it be at all possible to patch a game like Minecraft to increase the world size? Ignoring all optimisation, I just want to know if it's at all feasible. An overclock would likely go a long way to help with running a bigger world.
That's great to hear! I wonder how hard it would be to poke around in memory though, and whether it's just as easy as that or if the game would mess up in some other way. For example, it depends on how they handle the world border and clamping the players position. It's probably possible. You'd jus have to poke around in memory to find the value that defines world size.
Unfortunately homebrew has troubles to run in the background and it would lag whatever game you are playing. Heck what you want is hard to do in an actual computer, be realistic please.A tiny app to copy the last savegame folder to another folder
If we would have such an app can you image how useful it would be before a boss fight or a difficult dungeon on DD?
An app which could run in the background just like background FTP server which can be activated on messages tab copying the folder without the need of turning off the game openning the vitashell and restart the game each time. Dont you think that it would be usefull?
On the Vita Nuova Discord channel someone said its possible even with a plugin why would the game slow down? Game isnt running its minimized in the background, this system already working with background FTP server homebrew app when you start this app while the game still running you can copy the folder you want to your pc and then continue to the game I just dont want to turn on wifi and PC and keep the copied folder on Vita's memory card.
We'll see if it will work or not but Vita is capable of running MP3 in the background, Youtube videos sounds online in the background so why it cant copy a folder at most 2-3 MBs to another folder again we will see. And this process will happen manuelly only when we minimize the game.Unless said person linked the repo of the program that does that, is bull.
And it would lag because the Vita is not that good at running many things at once.
can you compare a PC's resource needs with Vita and also this is half of my message what about running youtube sound in the background? You can run MP3 with only 4 mb on ram on a computer from the past century. Or in a Nintendo DS.
Streaming will always be more resource intensive that actually having the file/game/app on the device.can you compare a PC's resource needs with Vita and also this is half of my message what about running youtube sound in the background?
He made the plugin, while the game is running in the background this pluging copying the savedata folder content to temp folder except sce_pfs folder and its copying this folder too if the game is shut down.Streaming will always be more resource intensive that actually having the file/game/app on the device.
A Vita can run ported Android Apps, the main reason no obe has ported NewPipe to it, since it does have a legacy version, is most likely due to the need of constant updates as Youtube keeps changing things. Also if it was ported it wouldn't run on the background.
