To install it you need an entry point. We are talking about entry points here. If you think A9LH is an entry point before it's installed, God help youTheres a free exploit that works on 10.7
Its called A9LH, works perfectly on 10.7.... and any other firmware version for that matter.
^ This has me rolling around laughing...seriously. Call me a nerd for it. xD I was one beforehand anyways. ;PTo install it you need an entry point. We are talking about entry points here. If you think A9LH is an entry point before it's installed, God help you
Yes, you should - unless you're happy to stick with just homebrew. In which case, get VVVVVV or OoT or Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, and use your primary exploit to install the payload onto one of them, and stick with that. You should be able to follow the downgrading section of the Plailect guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-2-(Downgrading). If you want to keep the data on your emuNAND, you could use a new SD card (leaving your emuNAND intact on the old one), and when downgraded, the old card with its emuNAND SHOULD work if you also copy over any needed files like boot.3dsx or anything, from the new card you use while downgrading. If it doesn't, you can always backup the emuNAND on the old card with emuNAND tool, and also use emuNAND tool to flash it onto the new card and continue on (with also copying over the Nintendo 3DS folder).Thank you so much for the advice. I appreciate you going through the trouble of being so kind. <3 (Read the reply to Pikm as well)
Question; should I downgrade to 9.2 after re-hacking? What benefits/drawbacks does this have? And how do I ONLY downgrade my sysNAND?
I have no idea what happened here - maybe you were trying to format emuNAND but it didn't like having the SD card removed (which is where the OS is running from, like pulling the hard drive out of a running computer)? If you follow the Plailect guide step for step you shouldn't run into any issues (and if you do - it is easier to help since we can see the exact things you did which led up to you having the issue).Haha, okay, well there is some important info I left out. I tried formatting my sysNAND (I then tried my emuNAND but same issue). The issue was that when I went in to format, I clicked the big red format button (My SD card was out), and what happened was the lil' screen with the big red format button dissappeared and it just kinda stayed at a grayed out version of the text behind it, looping that sh**** system settings music. xD (Pic included)
I didn't know it was required to unlink the NANDS to update. It makes sense now seeing as having the nands linked basically means they use the same system CIAs.
I mean, hey, the way I see it, I came into the 3DS scene with no prior knowledge and did everything I did on my own with only an SD card so I'm a lil' proud of what I accomplished.
I'd be happy to explain. You didn't format your sysNAND after creating your emuNAND, did you? You said in the OP that you were on 9.2 for both sysNAND and emuNAND. This means your NANDs were still probably linked. When your NANDs are linked, anything you do to one affects the other, so updating emuNAND will actually update your sysNAND.Can anyone explain why that happened? (How did Sysnand update when I went in through Luma to update?)
Well poop.
I mean does anyone want to loan me a copy of one?
I can just mail it back (I can afford $3 postage, lmao).

There are 2 more possibilities, if you updated your system using the update on an actual game cart, that too will update sysnand, even if run from emuNAND. Updating from the eShop does the same. Only correct way to update an emuNAND is via system settings.
Sorry to hear about your situation, that sucks As I'm sure you're now well aware of: There is no free way to access homebrew on 10.7, sorry. You MUST either have Cubic Ninja or Ocarina of Time 3d and a powersaves dongle. Other games do have exploits, but you need an already hacked 3ds to install the payloads, so that wont work for you. If you need more info, or obtain a working entrypoint / a new 3ds and would like some help, feel free to contact me. I have hacked 11 systems now, I know my way around.
lolyour NANDs were linked

Then wouldn't the device be back on a 1.0~2.0 firmware? How would you use Browserhax without a custom payload? Many people forget that just knowing a friend with a browserhax comparible firmware and oot works. (It is more often than it seems). Friend buys 3ds and oot at launch, plays it for a month, and never uses it again. Happens all the time.
Well I mean usually it was used once after, just not on 10.6.Then wouldn't the device be back on a 1.0~2.0 firmware? How would you use Browserhax without a custom payload?
Sounds like you have the wrong payload. Are you installing the oothax save with a hacked 3ds or powersaves?can someone help me get oothax working?
it just kicks me out to home menu after payload loads
i installed the save with my o3ds on 10.7.0 a9lh-sysnandSounds like you have the wrong payload. Are you installing the oothax save with a hacked 3ds or powersaves?
Did you make sure to install the correct payload for whatever system you are trying to hack? Not the one for your already hacked o3ds.i installed the save with my o3ds on 10.7.0 a9lh-sysnand

ROFL, that's kinda funny. Don't worry, honest mistake, I won't judge. But yea, once you fix that it should work for you.oh? that option that pops up. i assumed it was asking for your current 3ds specs. thanks ill go try and change that
well, I don't plan on bricking my 3ds anytime soon (i'm not a dumbass), and with some practice, could pretty much do a hardmod by myself if i needed to. I'm just fine without it.Actually everyone needs A9LH. When you brick and go complaining to a hardmodder, you'll see.
no ofense, that's stupid. a9lh is the best hack existing for 3ds, compared to the unstable, ugly and slow menuhax. and a9lh has brick protection. you can only brick your 3ds during the a9lh installation/otp get process if you're blind and can't read a simple guide and follow the instructions.otherwise, you will be fine. See? Menuhax is for noobs who use Internet Explorer and like slow things that don't work most of the time.no ofense, that's stupid. a9lh is the best hack existing for 3ds, compared to the unstable, ugly and slow menuhax. and a9lh has brick protection. you can only brick your 3ds during the a9lh installation/otp get process if you're blind and can't read a simple guide and follow the instructions.otherwise, you will be fine.
