Hello, my name is Gorfunion. I was originally here 10+ years ago (seriously?!?). I reminiscing and found an old thread created by Hoolio that was closed, so I though I'd register and create a new thread. I have so many memories of logging in each and every day to see how everyone was doing, rack up a high post count, and create avatars and signatures in PaintShop Pro (ha!).

Since I've been gone I've added 2 more kids to the family (3 total). Received a BA and a MA. Planted a church. And still game quite a bit, though I've transitioned to console gaming — Destiny, Dragonball Xenoverse, PvZ: Garden Warfare, and I've played WoW every once in a while for the past 5 years.

Anyway, that's enough about me.

    There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.

    But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".

    Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
