Give your switch to a 10 year old that can read, they will have it up and running in a few minutes.

How to boot HeKate from 4th icon?

I tried to rename Hetake.bin to boot.bin placing it on root. Renaming it to primary-fusee.bin placing it in Atmosphere folder.

I am following this instruction and script.
.

argon/payloads/hekate.bin if Ur using Mr dudes one but u can edit the script at line 310 (BL.write(b'argon/payloads/hekate.bin') to launch any payload you want, just change the path to the payload you with to launch, line 314 contains the name for that icon - once again change this to what you want. It not rocket science lol

Where is argon folder? Just create one on root?

So if I want to boot HeKate.bin on root, on line 310 I edit the line into (BL.write(b'/hekate.bin') ?

I can't help it.atmosphere and creating it to have its own emunand has become frustrating.the only one that seemed to make it a bit easier is deejay87 with the installer file.but it's in a different language.all im trying to do is make a separate card so when I update my atmosphere I stay on v11.01 for all my other sxos games.I prefer to do it that way.I just can't seem to set it up properly.

I have a quick question, does anyone know if the SX Core come with built in license into the modchip? reason why I ask was that I managed to get Atmosphere up and running on emuNAND using the SX OS boot menu and it didn't complain about a license file like it does on my unpatched Switch if you don't have the license file on the SD CARD.

Long story short, I purchased the SX Core modchip way back in the day (pre ordered) and it was pretty much sitting in the box since I received it.

I (mainly kids) was using SX OS (emuNAND) on my unpatched Switch up until they updated the FW on sysNAND to the version that SX OS no longer supported. They switch between sysNAND (playing online, etc) and emuNAND (offine, playing backups), I have been waiting ever since for an SX OS update that may never come. Since then, they have been using it as a normal Switch, there has been heaps of great games that has been releases since then so they are keen to play try them.

Fast forward until a few days ago, my other kid's Switch is a Patched Erista v1 on latest v12.1.0 FW, I bit the bullet and it was time to install the SX Core modchip. Install went smoothly, was a bit nervous as I didn't realise how tiny those soldering points were!

I also switched over to Atmosphere on my other unpatched Switch, as nice and easy that SX OS was easy to setup and use, don't think an update will come out soon. Atmosphere was pretty easy to setup if you follow a good guide which I did and it's great to be back playing backups again on emuNAND and switch over to sysNAND for all the online stuff, best of both worlds on both unpatched and patched Switch.

No it does not have a built in license. You only need the license to use SXOS, Atmosphere runs just fine without it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I finally figured it out.I kept making an emunand file for atmosphere I figured it was like the sxos you make a 30gb partition and rename all the files in the sd00 folder to full.0.bin and then rename the folder to emunand and drop it in the sxos folder works perfectly problem is every tutorial I came across didn't say were or what folder you had to do that for with atmosphere!!!I was in the dark on this one and no-one else was able to tell me and Nintendo plucks all the YouTube videos on how to do this as switch as there posted.finally I figured it out that you just either create a emuMMC on a partition or the sd card and check the.ini file in the bootloader file to make sure the.ini file says cfw atmosphere emunand=force1 something to that level updated it and everything's working.I had to use the self installer tinfoil with 12.10 tho.Im happy now I get to use that card for non sxos games and my other 1tb card for sxos games.im more from the olschool days of modding.like ps1,ps2,psp,xbox,.the Nintendo consoles I never messed with.always felt Nintendo was for kids lol that's why a10 yeast old could probably do it faster then me.

Hello All :grog:

Hello,
I am trying to do that but SX_License_Hack.py just blinks black window and nothing changes. Can you let me know what I may be doing wrong or can I send someone my License-request file ?

Make sure you have Python installed.
(Don't forget to add it to Path).

Yes, tried with both Python version 3.9 and 3.9.6 and both run same issue. PATH was also added. No freakin idea here :D

I'm dealing with the same scenario. Any guidance/assistance would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
