Gaming Goodboy Galaxy - new GBA game coming to Switch

Goodboy Galaxy is a brand-new exploration-focused adventure platform game in development for the 20-years-old Game Boy Advance. It's kind of like Cave Story, or a cuter Metroid. It’ll be released on real cartridges as well as digitally for GBA and modern platforms.

We’re also hoping to raise enough to fund an enhanced version for PC and Switch that will take advantage of stronger hardware capabilities (modern aspect ratio, remastered audio, couch co-op and other extras).

You can check the Kickstarter for more details, but the gist is that at the very least, a digital Switch version will be released that consists of the GBA game running under emulation, but if stretch goals are reached, then an enhanced port will be made that uses the Switch's capabilities, a physical release will be published, and multiplayer co-op will be added. The Kickstarter is already most of the way to its main goal since it launched this morning! Oh and there's a demo version already available to download as a GBA rom, check it out!

I played through the demo this evening, really nice.

They smashed all the Kickstarter stretch goals on the first day, so there will be an enhanced Switch port, with co-op multiplayer, and it will get a physical release.

(This was put up in a rush today after the kickstarter went a lot faster than anticipated, so they say sorry for the temporary images)

E: I gather this pre-order page is only going to be available for the duration of the Kickstarter (another 28 days), after that it won't be possible to purchase until the actual release of the full game.
