I'm using snes9x euphoria R5 I believe it's called and the sound is quiete choppy and despite the games saying they're running at 60fps it feels like there's a lot of screen tearing while playing although that could be just because the sound is so awful that it's making the experience seem worse than it is.

What is the best SNES emulator for PSP? I somewhat remember playing SNES games on a PSP years ago and they ran just fine?

Hello.:)

You can try "snes9xTYLme Mod 18404" if you like.

https://github.com/esmjanus/snes9xTYL/releases

It has many Settings and Options,Cheats,Screen and Speed Adjustments, also Sound Settings and it runs really smooth.
(I am using it in an PSP-1004),

Good Luck and
Thank you.:)

Thanks that seems to work a lot better. I'm still having sound slowdown in Donkey Kong Country a little but it's not as bad as it was before on the other emulator. Other games seem to work much better on it. Is there a way to possibly fix the sound choppiness in DKC?

Hello.:)

Great to hear,very good.:yay:

Help and Tips
  • Some games run faster if "Ignore Palette writes" and/or "Simple Palette writes" are enabled on MISC->Hack/debug menu.
  • If you get a black screen at loading a game, you can try to disable "Speed hacks" on MISC->Hack/debug menu, and then load the game again.

wow it actually works thanks. The game runs seamless now. On a side note I was wondering if you knew anything about N64 emulation on PSP/vita? I tried running Mario 64 and the game crashes when I get inside of the castle. I tried running an emulator through adrenaline on my vita and it just goes to a black screen..is there a way to get games running at a stable framerate with sound on N64 emulator on PSP/vita?

Hello.:)

N64 emulation with Daedalusx64.
It depends on which PSP Modell you want to "try".

https://github.com/z2442/daedalus/releases

https://github.com/DaedalusX64/daedalus/releases

PSP-1000er Series - to "weak" no Chance of reasonable Emulation.

All other - you can try it for yourself but please do not expect the same success like with the SNES Emulation.

Good Luck.:)
