Hacking Getting a 3DS XL, still have a Supercard DSTwo from before...

I think it's firmware 1.14.. or.. Hm I guess I can't remember

Anyway, I know I need to upgrade to 1.19 for it to work on the latest firmware of the 3DS.

I won't upgrade the moment I buy the 3DS XL, but is it possible for me to upgrade from the moment I buy the system?

I didn't really understand your question, can you please make it more clear?

If you're asking if dstwo firmware 1.14 will work on a new XL, I don't think so cause i needed 1.16 when i bought mine back in october.
Plus i think your dstwo firmware was released even before the first XL unit.

Edit: maybe it was 1.17 since the XL firmware was 4.2.0 when i got it(supercard site is confusing)

yes, as long as you don't update the 3ds xl system before hand you can do the dstwo upgrade on the 3ds xl and then update the 3ds xl afterwards.

From what I gather, as of the current 3DS firmware version (4.5.0-10) you will be able to update your cart after getting the 3DS XL. Theoretically it should be possible to update even if a newer firmware for the 3DS comes out.

yes, as long as you don't update the 3ds xl system before hand you can do the dstwo upgrade on the 3ds xl and then update the 3ds xl afterwards.

I believe the Supercard DSTWO is the only flashcart that can be updated after the 3DS is updated. All other carts have to be updated before the 3DS is updated.
