Hacking Genesis Plus issue (Genplus-gx)

Having and issue with the channel forwarder.

I have tried the 2 or 3 I found on the internet and every time start button on the channel it gets halfway through the programming then hangs up with a "..."

Say I download this: https://code.google.com/p/genplus-gx/downloads/detail?name=genplus-gx-1.7.4.7z
From where specifically should I get the channel forwarder so that it works immediately?

If u have the latest version it should load fine not too sure maybe a bad Forwarder???

I wouldn't doubt it, I'll try this as soon as I get home. Thanks for finding me the updated forwarder.

So the problem continues after I reinstalled the channel.

So please correct me if I am installing or uninstalling wads in the wrong way, this is exactly what I did.
1. Turned on wii and went to the data settings removed the channel by erasing it
2. Went to homebrew channel, opened the mod manager
3. IOS manager, loaded IOS 236. wad manager, installed channel. IOS manager, loaded IOS 249

Am I doing something wrong?
