General chit chat doesn't work at times

I've been having this problem for some time on the forums. At any given time when I try to open chat, the tab is blank with no messages in sight. Attempting to post a message to the chat results in an error message to appear saying that I cannot perform the action.

I tried clearing history, cookies, disabling ad-blockers, etc., to try and fix the problem, and all of these solutions doesn't help. If I, however, go to the main chat page, the chat goes back to normal, thus allowing me to post once again.

UPDATE: Another way of resolving the problem is to go to the chat page.

Does this so-called "glitch" happen to anyone by any chance or is this just me?

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
