After Log Time, i managed to get an Adaptor Cable from AliExpress and do the Mod. Heres the Final Result. Im very happy with it. I adjusted the Pot a little bit to clear some interference and now it looks very sexy!

Ben, could I ask what you plan/motivation is with putting an AGB LCD in an AGS? My wife had coincidentally asked me if I was planning on putting my (surplus) AGB LCD into the donor AGS, but I opted to sell it instead.
EDIT:
Might this 40-pin ribbon cable extension be a useful start for making your own cable?

Recently I was thinking of repairing my old GBA to play the games that I skipped back then, and discovered the possibility of adapting the GBA SP 101 screen to my old classic model.
It seems that I need to check some things first, like the quantity of pins on my chipset, but I don't have means to open my GBA currently. With that in mind, would you recommend that I buy this screen? Or do I need to check that first?

Was the only one that I found. It looks very hard to find these nowadays, at least in stores that ship to Brazil.
Actually I would like to play on the original system, unless that's too much trouble. Just a personal preferenceyou can play GBA roms on the nintendo 3DS now, maybe thats an option to you?
That was really helpful, thank you! I'll give it a tryAll AGS-101 screens have 34 pins, so that is no issue. The original Advance (AGB-001) came in two revisions: 40-pin and 32-pin varieties. You need to buy an adapter cable to match your AGB-001, not the new LCD.
I understand that there are minor differences in image quality with different AGS-101 screens, but I can't advise on that. The number of pins on that LCD isn't going to be an issue, however.
Exactly. Why wouldn't you want to play the game the way the dev intended?m8 mudding is 4 nubs. I recomend 2 smash it un da ground. (Shud fix da problum.) XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Have you messaged him, or are you just going off current listings? He is a good, responsive seller, and he may have an idea of when he will have more, or if he has any stock that just aren't listed.Hi, I joined this group as people in here seemed to know some of the finer aspects of this conversion.
Ughh...some of the information seems to be contradicted probably by newcomers like myself.
I have a brown tabed 101 screen and a 40 pin GBA, I was hoping to buy a "2 switch position adaptor cable" from lee_chang screen but he doesn't seem to do one for this brown tabed screen? Is that right, can anyone recommend an alternative ?
Thanks
I've finished putting the AGB-001 back together. Boy was it a tight fit! I had to open it back up and re-route wires, tape down the ribbon cable so that the socket fell in the right place, and then go back again to remove the thin adhesive foam surrounding the LCD just to get the case shut properly. I got a few scratches on the frontlight disperser(?) when cleaning the foam off, but that's my own darned fault.
