i thought maybe it was because i was gettin an error but mario kart worked with the error and the ones i got from a website (they are codebreaker codes) dont work either so im kind of stumped. i still cant click on remove intros and i tried a non beta version of VBA...im about to try no$gba
i also just noticed that when i copy and paste codes in from the internet it will patch the game then say GBAATM has stopped working
I found a bug in the type 5 code conversion so that was fixed. However it still won't help the lockups you are having...

Try changing the execution cycles to a higher value. Also make sure you are using the latest GBAATM (currently 1.9.8.2).

because alot of people say gameshark but some say action replay. And can I use this code on Mother 3 with GBAATM? This is the only code I want for Mother 3.
There might seem to be conflicting info (and there sometimes is) about Gameshark and AR.
The truth:
ARv1/2 is the same as GSv1/2
ARv3/4 uses an updated version of the previous AR software
GSSP (sometimes called GSv3) is actually the same thing as a Codebreaker but with slightly different graphics
GBAATM uses Codebreaker and GSSP codes. You can tell if codes are usable by GBAATM if the lines are 12 characters in length: XXXXXXXX YYYY or XXXXXXXXYYYY. And you will need the master code (the code that starts with a 9) if they are encrypted.
AR codes will have either 8 characters per line or 16 characters seperated with a space.
This is the code converted to the CB format:

Thanks for replying. but that code thats converted to CB format screws the game up. It doesnt let me go to the debug menu. and when u enter another map it warps you to a diff spot. and when I put that code into my game with GBAATM it just freezes the game at a white screen as soon as it starts up. I figured out it did all that stuff by taking an unpatched game and just putting the code into VBA.
