AAA gaming has definitely lost its luster and honestly all just became the open world games with a slight gimmick. There’s also just too many “live service games” that are pumped full of microtransactions to the point where the now 70$ price tag is just a down payment.
But I don’t think AAA games are the only games and there’s been plenty of independent and even some major studio games that aren’t generic copies of the same games.

Fewer good AAAs out there (other than Elden Ring), way more good indies available though. Too many to list TBH, but shout out to OlliOlli World. Great on the Steam Deck too.

Let's be completely honest here. Its a fun game but nothing that I would have not been able to find and play similarly on a flash games website circa 2007. The simplistic art style only pushes this further into fact.
It's not a technically complicated game. Name another game that already used the same general idea tho.
