I was under the impression it would be unbootable but you could read out files from it. I did this once with a NAND not unique to another 3DS and it did work.

If it was a ctrnand (single partition) backup it was most likely decrypted

If it was a full nand backup, xorpads (or bootrom+source console otp) would have been required to even see the contents

My advice would be to take pictures of everything, such as where you installed the hardmod. Make sure it's nice and lit up.

The next step is, uh, wait for it...

finding another Old XL (bricked or not), removing the NAND+CPU+MCU, and replacing them with the ones from your broken console...

...this means professional BGA rework, not something that can be done without proper tools even by people who have hardmodded 50 DSis without ever breaking one

Its an Original Small one no xl one and yeah but try to find somebody who even does this has the stancils for it and the tools with the luck of not braking it and then in the end doesnt run with the system ? ( And on top that doesnt get payed a fortune for it )

My browser underlines most words I write in red. Maybe not everyone wants to use a foreign locale just to "fool" the spell checker?


Well, in Firefox I can choose the language by right clicking on the text box, but I don't think many people even know about it.
