Fish Tank

Homebrew game

The Spring coding competition entries just keep rolling in at Neoflash HQ. Here's another homebrew game courtesy of Ben2303. It's a WIP remake of Insaniquarium, a fish tank simulator!

Fish Tank is a work in progress remake of Insaniquarium.
For now only Free Tank Mode is working. You can choose between 5 tanks with
their own graphical and musical theme (more to come).
In this mode, your goal is to collect enough money to buy all egg parts. You
can also just send some relaxing time feeding the fishes and see them live...
For that, just buy and feed fish that while growing will drop more valuable
items. You can also buy different upgrades to enhance your feeding skills.
The game will end if all your fishes starve to death.

=== Controls ===

PAUSE :Â Â Â Start button

IN GAME MENU : left/right, left shoulder to select.

EVERYTHING ELSE :Â Â Stylus

    - double touch menu items

    - touch an empty area to buy/drop a food pelet

    - touch coins to collect them

    - touch the dirt to clean your tank

=== Misc. ===

Game tested on real hardaware and No$GBA 2.3, works with full sound,

rotations, zooms and alphablending.  Â

             Â

=== Versions ===

17/10/2006 - first release, not much to say about it

20/11/2006 - 0.2, more a demo than a real game

27/01/2007 - PA Lib Compo release aka "Orange Fish Only Release"

09/02/2007 - Bugfix release + R4/M3 compatible (thanks to Gemma for testing) Mods are now played using GBFS, no more gfx corruption (I think)

12/03/2007 - New ennemy ! The big red fish now occasionnaly appear and eat your fishes

20/03/2007 - NeoFlash Compo release - sadly not too much new, the WIP version is kinda broken

    i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

    Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

    Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
