It worked when I played Megaman 9 but it seems to not work for FCE ultra gx. Is there a way I can fix it? If I can't then will there be a patch for this in the future? I'm assuming it doesn't work with nintendo's official nes classic controllers either.

Compiling the emulator with libogc 1.8.15 or newer would probably fix it, since the support for 3rd party controllers has been improved over the years. I don't have those kind of controllers so i can't test.

Some 3rd party controllers dont work with Wii homebrew/emulation, you're safest bet is buying official. Fixed my problem.
