Just wondering If there's a way to edit already made pokemon hacks (ex. changing type, nature , stats, IVs etc.) I've browse some guides here but the information bombards me, what i hope is to edit simple stuff, not to make a whole hack since it takes much time and imagination. and i want to try hacks like pokemon blaze black "2" with stuffs that i want to add.
I was able to edit text and the starters in Pokémon Blaze Black so it is possible, although there are some hack tools that wouldn't have any effects on those hacks.

What i want is to edit pokemon type like making Charizard a Dragon/Fire or Gyarados a Dragon/Water, and changing base stats and somehow merge it to an already complete hack, like Pokemon Volt White/Blaze Black 2
I can cover general ROM hacking if you like but I do not have the greatest familiarity with pokemon editing tools (and not that many people around this particular forum do) and it is quite far removed from the rest of ROM hacking, what I have seen says they are pretty simple though but if what you have seen so far as is too hard for you I am afraid it does not get any easier than what is out there already.
Generally I have not seen any actual protections of ROM hacks on the DS and any there might be are usually very basic and not really even protection but enough of that unless it is actually troubling you.
Editing an existing hack then. Pokemon on the GBA and DS by and large are data format driven things ( http://www.pipian.com/ierukana/hacking/ds_evos.html ) unlike some other games which are coded in different ways. As this is the case (and for some reason the franchise is somewhat popular) there are many tools to edit the game. Most will use the original games are a jumping off point but again as it is a data format driven game it should also work on hacks. It could be the hack does something that changes how the game works beyond a hacking tool's capability and it could be that the hacking tool is badly made and assumes something it really should not, I have seen both in pokemon hacking circles though not enough to tell you to not bother.
The short version. Find normal pokemon editing tools/techniques. Generate a game with the hack applied and feed it to the pokemon editing tool.

the link given above allows to unpack a rom, it mentions a program narctool-0.1-p that i don't know what to do with it along with the unpack files...
can someone help me locate these normal pokemon editing tools/techniques? link?
