wi-fi works as expected, you can go to the GTS or at the wi-fi lobby and you won't experience any crashes

Okay, I'm not sure if I am the only one this has happened to, but any pokemon game i play will randomly freeze while saving.
Im using EDGE Firmware 1.9 if that helps.

Well v1.9 fixes it, and you might have either incorrectly installed it, or still have the v1.8 as v1.9 was only released yesterday and the rest of us are fine now. Let us know or take some photo's as we could lend a hand to where it may have gone wrong

Or as simple as the roms or microSD may be slow?

I have been having this save issue with every firmware version so far, when i try to save on any pokemon game, that little dot in the corner of the saving screen just keeps going round and round.
And as to the post with the link in it 2 posts above this one, my game wont even save, it is just stuck at saying "Saving a lot of data. Please Do not Turn Off the Power.".

I was using Edge 1.5 and just updated to the 1.9 since 1.5 cannot run wario DIY. Using the 1.9 still doesn't solve the problem and I checked that Wario DIY still not playable on EDGE. The real problem is that my picross 3d which was playable using 1.5 now stop working on 1.9. It stuck on the fist loading.

For some reason, mine still freezes when I use cheats. The only one I have on is 2x Exp, and I've tried using the 4x exp and the same thing. Any suggestions?

I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Damn Frontier is offering 5Gbps now lol

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah even bt support for Xbox one controllers are just as easy as pairing
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges

Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
