EA and Ubisoft giving PS3 lots of exclusive content

Jack Tretton just announced during the Sony E3 press conference that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will not only receive exclusive content on the PS3, but will also receive exclusive access to the game's multiplayer beta. We're not sure what that content will feature, but if we were to wager a guess, we'd say "it includes more things you can stab."

The Dead Space 2 presentation during Sony's E3 press conference brought with it a fairly pleasant surprise -- the PS3 version of the game will come with a port of the Wii rail-shooter, Dead Space: Extraction, now with PlayStation Move support. We're not sure what kinds of upgrades the game's visuals will be subjected to, but this might just influence our decision when it comes time to decide which platform to purchase the spacey sequel upon.

Soldiers who plan to sign up for the new Medal of Honor on PS3 this October will get an added incentive for going with Sony's console: Medal of Honor Frontline. Originally released in 2002, the game's been remastered in HD for the console and will come packed in a PS3 Medal of Honor special edition package.

umm no... lol, Dead Space Extraction, the game that comes with it is a port from the Wii version... and that extra content is exclusive to ps3

Nope, Dead Space 2 is going to be on the 360 and PS3. The "exclusive" is a "Limited Edition" that contains Dead Space 2 and a PS3 port of Dead Space: Extraction, which was previously an exclusive for the Wii.

These were some nice deals for Sony, but I wonder why they didn't do stuff like this earlier. In the past year, Microsoft has done a way better job.

Anyway, the biggest announcement by far for me was Portal 2 coming to the PS3 with Steam support. You're supposed to be able to obtain Steam achievements, use Steam cloud (storing your saves online) and talking to your Steam friends. Games will also be automatically updated.

Nope, Dead Space 2 is going to be on the 360 and PS3.

Well that is a relief, I can play DS:E on wii and apart from looking better (the Wii version looks great so don't care) I don't see how they can make it play better. There was nothing wrong with its looks or gameplay in the first place, it was just short.

MOH: Frontline...no thanks. It is a very nice extra however though do you have to pay extra for this "Special Edition" or will all PS3 versions be a "Special Edition"? Other than that its not worth extra money as for me Frontline is when the series went downhill for me, had they did Allied Assualt or the PSX games I'd be mildly more interested though the PSX ones should have been PSN like Perfect Dark is on XBLA.

Assassins Creed I never liked the series anyway.

Frontline is when the series went downhill for me

frontline was awesome
first mission , D-Day
bullets flying everywhere, explosions going off all around you, dead bodies strewn all over the place

rising sun is where is went downhill
it just couldnt capture pearl harbor correctly which was the first mission
