Red = Highly Recommended
Blue = Fun but too easy
Green = Pointless because of a sequel or another version
Purple = My personal favorites (if that makes any difference)
  • Taiko no Tatsujin DS -- (USUALLY) REQUIRES TWO STYLUSES *
  • Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS! 7tsu no Shima no Daibouken -- (USUALLY) REQUIRES TWO STYLUSES *
  • Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Dororon Yokai Daikessen -- (USUALLY) REQUIRES TWO STYLUSES *
  • Jam with the Band / Daigasso Band Brothers DX -- REQUIRES ALL OF THE DS FACE BUTTONS AND SHOULDER BUTTONS **
  • Daigasso Band Brothers -- REQUIRES ALL OF THE DS FACE BUTTONS AND SHOULDER BUTTONS **
  • Rhythm Heaven
  • Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!
  • Moeru Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii! Osu Tatakae Ouendan 2
  • Elite Beat Agents
  • Looney Tunes: Cartoon Conductor
  • Michael Jackson: The Experience
  • Maestro! Jump in Music
  • Music Monstars
  • Jam Sessions 2
  • Jam Sessions
  • Guitar Hero: On Tour -- REQUIRES PERIPHERAL ***
  • Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades -- REQUIRES PERIPHERAL ***
  • Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits -- REQUIRES PERIPHERAL ***
  • Rock Band 3
  • Lego Rock Band
  • Band Hero -- REQUIRES PERIPHERAL ***
  • KORG DS-10 Synthesizer
  • KORG DS-10 Synthesizer Plus
  • Ontamarama
  • Boogie
  • Ultimate Band
  • Rock Revolution
  • Rockin' Pretty
* The game is highly difficult without using two styluses (even the game's tutorial requests you use two styluses) unless you're using the button mode.
** The game's controls are non-negotiable. If you do not have use of one or more of the face buttons or shoulder buttons, then you can either play at a lower difficulty or not at all.
*** The game requires the official Guitar Hero peripheral, which to my understanding cannot be bought separately.

Rhythm Heaven and Elite Beat Agents should be red bro :D
Well, as Rhythm Heaven is one of my favorites, it's a higher recommendation from me than any of the red ones.

Elite Beat Agents, however, is a very americanized version of the Osu! games and doesn't have the same long lasting appeal. It's pretty much made obsolete by the two Osu! games.

Nice list! And there's a few I haven't tried... might have to give them a go ;)

Taiko is aaaawesome, especially because of all the J-Pop/anime themes ;D

'Music Monstars'... Lolwut... *goes to look it up*

Nodame Cantabile DS is by far my most favorite Rythm game on the DS (well, outside of DS too). Rythm Heaven, Jam with the Band and Taiko no Tatsujin are also great, but, I love Nodame Cantabile most, because it has classical music. And, you can play it without any japanese knowledge.

Tried out 'Music Monstars' and it's actually surprisingly good... Considering I hadn't even heard of it until now :wtf: The song selection is just about average though...

I love JWTB as it actually has a half-decent composing tool, and I managed to transfer all my anime/J-pop songs into my legit cart :D

Nice lists, never new about the non-English ones.

Although you can't say EBA is obsolete, some people play -music- games for the music, and they like the music in EBA just as much as any other game.
