Doesn't the DMA make piracy easier?

Weird that I haven't seen anything for 'alternative app stores' yet people say there is.
Won't this just make piracy easier? Any DRM thing the phone has will have to be disabled. However, I doubt the EU is on the pirates' side.

I mean just because an alternate App Store exists, it doesn’t mean companies have to use them? If they stay exclusive to their store of choice nothing changes surely.

You can already sideload apps on iOS, and I don’t think piracy has really made any leaps.

DRM sucks for many reasons. Denuvo ruined Resident Evil Village, to the point that Capcom pulled the game out of shear embarrassment. DRM never works, and is easily cracked by many hackers in hours.

DRM sucks for many reasons. One example being Denuvo on Resident Evil Village, of which it caused a lot of slowdowns on PCs, resulting Capcom to remove the game. DRM never works, and is easily cracked by many hardcore expert hackers in hours.
I guess, but there are other ways to prevent piracy instead of encryption.

Incorrect. The biggest issue with Resident Evil Village wasn't Denuvo but Capcom's DRM. Never the less, it didn't help in anyway.

Not necessarily. Why do you really want DRM to begin with? If piracy still exists then how come the companies still get paid.

Blocking app access. Like Apple does with blocking apps with corporate certs.
I've heard that some game on Android or iOS have measures to prevent the game from running on a jailbroken device, then again, its like CD checks.
