How can you not see the point? Some people would want custom created wallpapers from other tempers. And if people are willing to make one, then there is a point to one.

Is this Bust My Balls day for you or what? I don't see enough people wanting custom desktops to warrant a stickied thread that'll ultimately die and take up space, like half the stickied threads in every forum. The amount of people who use custom desktops is rather small, even smaller is the amount of people using custom desktops they themselves didn't already make. Most people just google a topic they like and find a good desktop picture based on it.

QFT. Making a custom wallpaper is pretty hard work, and ultimately it will die. There are definitely some people on here willing to do that but it's only a matter of time before their goodwill runs out.

Nah, I don't think it'll get much interest. Wallpaper's a little too big for people to pick up random requests; signatures/avatars are much smaller so they're easier to work with. And trying to meet the requester's requirements will be very difficult; some people who want things but can't create it themselves only have a vague feeling of what they want, if they get too fussy with last-minute tweaking it will just start arguments.

I agree with that.
Customizing a wallpaper is just too much work really.

If I need a desktop wallpaper, I just google and use whatever looks good to me.
