I think I heard that the Switch's Joycons don't need a sensor bar nor do they use IR (which makes sense considering it's a hybrid) so that's likely a no.
I FEEL @hacksn54s5 in this one.
If this were a hacksn dupe, then the OP would be written something like this:
do you think wii remotes will work on the switch
i think maybe yes since the switch controllers work kinda like wii remotes because they have motion controls but i dont know what do you think

What happened to him? I only recently saw that he was banned. I'm curious why. I mean, he was asking for it, I'm just wondering what was the final straw, the details. As for the question, I don't know, why? Those Joycons look like a natural progression from the Wiimote. Personally I don't know how my hands will take them because they're so small and my hands are big. I just hope that Pro controller is satisfactory, because if/when Smash 4 comes to Switch, I assume there will not be Gamecube support, so, that controller better deliver. It has kind of the shape of a GC controller, and the layout is a fusion between that and the Wii U Pro, so, at face value it looks nice.

i doubt it they want you to fork over nearly $100 for their switch ProCon instead :creep:
...What does the Joycon Pro have to do with Wiimotes? They're entirely different controllers. Why would someone buy a JOYCON PRO if they want to use their WIIMOTES on their Switch? One is motion control oriented and the other is closer to a standard controller.

No, because no console company wants you to use old stuff, and not buy their new shiny stuff and give them more monies.

They're probably leaving all Wii/WiiU controllers in the past and so the only way of playing games on the Switch is either with the Switch Tablet (is that the official given name?), Joycons or the Pro Controller.

Hori's got their own Switch Pro Controller Wired which looks absolutely fantastic but considering the Joycons are wireless and don't need to use AA batteries it should be more than enough.

For $300 you should be able to use wiimotes and have usb 3.0, but this is nintendo and they need money so no.

$299 is not a high price for a console at launch in 2017. PS2 launched at $299 sixteen years ago. The Sega Saturn was $399, and that was in 1995. The Atari 2600 launched at $199 in 1977 (over $700, adjusted for inflation). Wii launched at $249, but required additional hardware to get any kind of multiplayer going, where the Switch is multiplayer ready out of the box.

The price that did surprise me was the $70 for the Switch Pro controller.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)
