Hacking Do I need my PS3 update folder?

Games, be it rips or downloads usually always have the ps3 update folder intact. Can I deleted all of this? I am currently in the process of loading virtually everything I want t o play on an external hard drive. Most of these have a ~250mb ps3 update folder in them. Currently I can save about 5 gigs deleting these, but I want to make sure the game will not be effected.

I always delete the update. I have never had any issue's from it.

Yeah. Definitely delete them. They just take up space. Anytime I download or rip a game I delete the update.
