The instructions on the DML package (including things like extracting it) are all things the instructions tell me to skip. Very confused.

I dont see any confusing there, I have added a link for the older dml versions and the newer ones. You only need the wad creator if you download the older dml versions.

Yeah OK thats maybe a bit bad explained. I wrote a few more words to it into the guide now.

edit:

Running fstfix from command line instead of draging produced an output file, but in the fstfix directory (no folder).

Do I just dump that file into the SD card's "games" folder?

Use DiscEx 0.8b.
Run it with -c arg if you want to compress the game. It will create a folder.

do I put "-c" ("-c arg"?) after the name of the iso in the command line or what?

2.1 doesnt work for me period.

original discs do not boot and games do not go past dios mios screen.

Everything works fine on 2.0.5 though

Also for some reason i can not get any games to boot that i put in GCReEx format. They all either dont even boot or freeze at the start of the game.
If i take the same game and play it in discex format it plays perfectly.

Any idea what the cause of that is?

Im using GCReEx-v0.3 and i am running a batch file(found on another site) that automatically converts the iso file for me.



EDIT : Thought it might be the batch file so i did a command prompt to convert a game and the output(folder size,structure,ext..) is identical to the one from the batch file.

OK, got Wario World (and anything else I legally backup and convert that works I guess) working.

Do I need a disc in drive to use No More Memory/NMM or are the statements I do in error/old?

I don't think NMM has anything to do with having a disk in the drive or not but if that changes anything for you, definitely let us know.

Then I can report Wario World (US) does not support it (or I screwed up enabling it despite doing the same thing as the tutorial video, changing NMM DML to "yes" instead of its default under the games settings, which seems more likely at this rate)

Four Swords Adventures is still acting up for me. I've gotten to 1-3, but the game crashes everytime I finish the stage. When I play earlier stages, it sometimes does work and sometimes doesn't. I have found a video on youtube of another person having the same issue as myself, although mine is NTSC-U: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfCfQT5NeOs

Again, this is the only problem game I have and no other game errors at all, so I'm positive it's not HDD spindown, since other levels sometimes work.

There are a lot of games that NMM doesn't really work for. NMM is FAR from perfect so that doesn't surprise me.

Well idk about NMM, like I said I already have 3 memory cards, but the save file used in DM/DML CAN in fact be used for Dolphin and vice versa, I been abusing this feature ever since the old elf method for DML!

Say what? How did you get the raw files into a Dolphin memory card from NMM? There aren't any converters.

2.1 is amazing. 2.0.5 I could not even play Mario Sunshine (Pal rip on Pal Wii via component). Now, I can, in true 16:9? Incredible work.
